They are caring, helpful, and listened. I really appreciate the care and concern we received from them both. They are amazing!
My wife was the patient. We had an emergent situation with my wife’s medical needs. She has Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. We normally see doctors in Dallas, TX as PAH is a rare disease so not many understand it here. My wife has a central line to push medication to her heart 24/7, and this medication only has a 4-hour half-life, then all symptoms can come back, and she could possibly die. We followed the protocol and called EMS, who could not help, as well as the air ambulance service we have a membership with, and they could not help, so by the time we arrived at NW, she was without meds for 3.5 hrs. I explained to the ladies up front what was going on and they took my wife straight to triage, and I ran to move our car.
When I got back, my wife was in a room, and Macy, along with another nurse, Sandra Payan, was with her. Macy was starting the IV that was needed to get my wife’s pump hooked back up for the needed meds. They are caring, helpful, and listened. I really appreciate the care and concern we received from them both. They are amazing! They got it started and kept asking questions as they went. They were fast and efficient. I cannot say enough good about how understanding and caring they were to her in a very emergent, scary time. Thank you for the great care we received.
