I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Madison Chester. My mother was admitted to the hospital for a possible stroke. This was a scary time for the family. Madison’s kindness, support, and genuine concern made a difference in how we felt, and she was able to handle this difficult experience in a more positive light. Her compassion and empathy made a world of difference to us. Our family will always remember the positive impact she made as a nurse. Her co-workers highly respect her, as I overheard a nurse telling a student what a kind soul she is. What an asset she is to our hospital.

My mom is in the hospital currently, during a rapid response for my mother, Madison showed me the most kindness possible, she wasn’t even my mom’s nurse. She came straight to me, explained what was going on step by step, kept me calm, and stayed with me until they took my mom to the ICU; she even walked me to the ICU and helped me carry things to the room. Today, my mom is back to the 4th floor. She had another rough episode, which had me very upset, along with my sugar dropping…I was in a pretty bad place, I looked up trying not to pass out, and there was Madison again! Holding my hand, giving me orange juice and peanut butter and crackers. Stayed with me until I felt better. She came back to check on me later. She truly is a Gem! She is what I hope my daughter strives to be, as she is going into nursing after high school. She has shown compassion, patience, love, and great knowledge of her field. I will never forget her kindness during this difficult time.
