This past October, my grandfather had his right knee replaced at Huntley Hospital. It was his first surgery ever, and all I can say is that Maggie was an exceptional nurse. I spent the night in the hospital with my grandfather, and I can say that he wasn't the easiest patient to deal with, but Maggie never seemed upset or frustrated. On the contrary, she was very patient and extremely kind to my grandfather. She explained what she was doing and said she would also reorient my grandfather. I am a nurse, and I know how difficult it can be to take care of confused/impulsive patients. I have seen many nurses react in a negative way whenever their patients aren't "behaving," but in this case, me being on 'the other side,' being the 'family member' of the patient, and seeing how Maggie interacted with my grandpa made me feel at home. The following day we were discharged, and my grandfather couldn't stop talking about the great care he had received from Maggie.

I want to thank you, Maggie, for all that you did for my grandpa, and I apologize for his impulsivity, but please keep being that caring nurse that you are. I know we only had you for one night, but your personality and your care really helped and made our night better there. Thank you!
