My husband was sent by his PCP for a stress test and when the doctor saw something she didn't like he was immediately scheduled to see a cardiologist. To make a long story short, he was scheduled for angioplasty the following day. We met with Maggie Braenovich and she clearly explained the procedure to us. We were expecting everything to go well, with the possibility of a stent during the procedure. What a shock when they said my husband had a 90% blockage and needed bypass surgery right away! Maggie was calm and reassuring. Her confidence radiated with her smiles. She told us what to expect and guided us through the next few hours until we got into a cardiac room awaiting transfer. Before she left, Maggie gave me her phone numbers and with sincerity asked that I let her know about the surgery and how my husband was doing. We do not have any nearby family and no one could come to stay with me on short notice because they were caring for elderly family members.
On Monday morning he was moved to a regular room after receiving wonderful care in ICU. I called Maggie to leave her a message, but she answered and was truly interested in his care. She assured me that we were in good hands and all was going as expected. Then, that evening, who should come to see us? It was Maggie! After working a full day at MJH, she came to visit saying she knew we didn't have any family and wanted to be sure all was well and asked if we needed anything. That smile with her calm and confident words let us know that she truly cared about us.
I have been singing Maggie's praises to friends and family ever since.
