Compassion- warm and caring in all interactions. I may not have been my usual cheery self right after surgery, but Mandi gave me time and listened with a compassionate ear. Holistic care is reached in many ways, and one way that best serves me is through building a caring relationship with the staff during my stay. Mandi cared for me body and spirit and made me feel safe and taken care of.

Excellence- As my primary nurse, Mandi was also very informative, teaching at every interaction, so even in my foggy state of mind, I was able to retain and follow the plan of care and reach my goals. I am a nurse, but she didn’t skip steps like some tend to, and I really appreciate that because I don’t have my nurse hat on today, I am a fresh post-op in need of reminders and encouragement, and Mandi was consistent in providing that with all of her very frequent check-ins.

I have to say working in healthcare for 15+ years makes me acutely aware of the staff that show excellence in their professional role, and Mandi is a treasure to Swedish! I wish her the best in her career and have no doubt that she has been the light that guides patients into an environment of holistic care, allowing for better outcomes and improved patient satisfaction.
