Mandy was tireless in her efforts to keep her patient comfortable and administered repeated strenuous procedures to ensure his healing process stayed on track
My friend, R, was recently hospitalized after surgery. The surgery went well, but there were complications as the procedure can be difficult to recover from. He was there Friday through Sunday, and Mandy attended to him the entire stay. Mandy was tireless in her efforts to keep her patient comfortable and administered repeated strenuous procedures to ensure his healing process stayed on track. She maintained reality-based communications with the patient and family, letting us know what to expect in a balanced and professional manner, while still keeping us reassured.
She was part advocate, friend, and supporter throughout his time there and although she never mentioned it, I know she had a lot of other patients as well. I hope she knows how important her work is. We will always remember her and the kindness she showed to us. We were at once reassured and comforted by her balanced, compassionate approach to patient care, especially in light of what I know must be a heavy caseload, and I am inspired to pay forward her generosity of spirit in my daily interactions going forward. From the bottom of my heart Mandy…Thank you and God Bless.
