My husband and I were terrified when we brought our son into the ER to find out he had a brain bleed and skull fracture following a bicycle accident. There were a lot of emotions going on so quickly. Marcel was not our assigned nurse, but when the scan came back showing a bleed, Marcel jumped in to help and to help calm my husband and me. He explained everything in detail to my son, who was hysterical anytime someone came close to touching him. He was so patient and kind. He is a wonderful asset to the team at Mariners, and we are so thankful we had his support during a traumatic time. I will never forget lifting off in the helicopter with my son to head to a Children’s Hospital. Marcel was outside, leaning against a car and watching us take off. He is truly a caring, compassionate nurse.
