I will never forget the moment she told me I needed to have a crash c-section right then and there. She kept me calm during the scariest moment in my life.
I was hospitalized for the 3rd time in less than a month with bleeding from a placenta previa during my pregnancy. I was going to be staying in the hospital on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. The entire nursing staff was amazing and accommodating; they tried to keep my spirits up as this was clearly not the final trimester of my pregnancy I had envisioned. Unfortunately, I then suffered from a placental abruption during my third hospital stay at 30 weeks. Meg was my nurse that night, and I owe her and the whole staff everything. I will never forget the moment she told me I needed to have a crash c-section right then and there. She kept me calm during the scariest moment in my life. I couldn't reach my husband before I went in for the surgery, and if it wasn't for Meg, I probably would have panicked and completely freaked out. The entire team then got my baby out within 20 minutes, and I know without them, my baby and I could have had a very different fate. Meg was then with me during my time in recovery and kept me calm and reassured since I still couldn't reach my husband and hadn't been able to see my baby. One of the staff took my phone and got pictures so that I could then at least see he was okay. Meg and the whole team will never know just how much their care and kindness still means to me. It was a very traumatic experience, but because of the staff, it went as smoothly and as well as it possibly could have. Thank you
