Leadership at Foundations Behavioral Health decided in 2022 to begin presenting one DAISY Award a year during our employee appreciation week. The staff and patients at our facility were asked to nominate a nurse they felt exemplified what it means to be a professional RN. A nurse that dedicates himself/herself to their craft and the patients he/she cares for. Margaret (Margie) Agar was nominated by several peers and patients, and the consistent theme in the nominations was that she is caring, tenacious on behalf of her patient's needs, and always willing to go above and beyond for the facility, her colleagues, and her patients. One of her colleagues wrote, "Margie is not only an extremely competent nurse, but she also displays such a tremendous determination to assure each patient receives exactly what they need. She does not stop working on an issue until it is completely resolved." While another wrote, "I nominate Margie for a DAISY Award because she is a constant advocate for our patients and their medical needs. She shows her true concern for them in her daily work and never fails to follow through by assuring their needs are met. She is a pleasure to work with." Margie has been a consistent, reliable, and constant presence in Foundations Behavioral Health since September of 2011. She started as an RN, and she is now our Medical Nurse Coordinator.
