My family has come to Valley Hospital for our entire healthcare needs, some happy (the birth of my boys), some less happy. All the experiences with the nurses at Valley Hospital have been the same, great treatment filled with compassion and in a loving manner. My family is beyond thankful for the staff at the hospital. In the recent past, the nurse that I have had the most interaction with while visiting my mom has been Nurse Maria Abad. She has treated my mom with the same delicate hands that I do; with a caring tone in her voice, and in a loving manner.

It is generally not easy to describe a pleasant experience when a loved one is mentally suffering from the reality of a health issue. Nurse Maria has made a difficult reality less bad with her outstanding care. She has taken the time to ask questions, point to provide answers, and follow up with appropriate personnel when the answers do not reside in her area. She has offered all the physical amenities available to make Mom comfortable. She has explained the reasons behind her treatment (i.e. IV lines, medicines, etc.) to provide us with an understanding as to the why. Understanding the reason why is very comforting and sets expectations. Mom is beyond thankful for the care she has consistently received; Mom jokingly said it is as good a treatment as she gets at home! So Thankful!
