My husband was added on for emergency knee surgery on a Saturday morning. There was some confusion at the ER registration desk so we were sent to the OR waiting room. Maria took us under her wing and sorted everything out and stayed with us until my husband was routed to the right people to start the pre-op admission process. Much later that day (about 10 p.m.) Maria was still on duty after my husband's surgery and she was still as caring, cheerful and efficient 16 hours later, getting him through recovery and to his room. At a time of anxiety for us, Maria was our life saver. She is truly an extraordinary asset to Shady Grove Medical Center. Thank you.
