Connie is one of our most experienced staff in the unit. She has been employed in this organization for over twenty years. Still, she continues to demonstrate the same energy and willingness to be one of the best patient advocates I know.
In an emotionally difficult unit, as it is the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Connie provides an important balance to the families and other staff members working in this unit. She is extremely cooperative, helpful and an excellent team player. Her kindness is remarkable to see and she always volunteers in the most challenging moments.
Families invariably notice Connie's advocacy to their relative and empathy to themselves. Patient safety is her utmost priority at all times. Connie never asks for anything in return even when she has gone above and beyond her duties. Connie is a true role model of what a nurse must be.
