She is vested in our patient's well-being. She treats everyone with respect, compassion, professionalism, and courtesy.
Maribeth has worked in GIH Motility for the last five years. She has been my mentor for the last six months. Over the last six months, she has been the only fully trained nurse in our area and she has been outstanding at keeping our area afloat. She comes in early, leaves late, comes in during her days off, switches days to be in the unit when a patient is scheduled for a procedure... she does everything humanly possible to avoid having a patient rescheduled. She knows that our patients come from all over the country and the world to get this specialized testing. Rescheduling is complicated for many of them. She doesn't only go above and beyond to be in the unit when a patient needs it, but she is also fully there. She is vested in our patient's well-being. She treats everyone with respect, compassion, professionalism, and courtesy. She answers patients' questions, makes them feel comfortable throughout the procedure, and welcomes support people into the study room if that is helpful for the patient. She constantly seeks ways to optimize our practice for the benefit of our patients. I feel like she deserves to be recognized for her hard work and commitment to her service to so many whom she does not know but treats like family. She truly inspires me to be my best!
