My RN, Marie Conlin, showed much caring, compassion, and professionalism as she took care of my needs. I was in the hospital because of a complication with my TURP Surgery. Perhaps even more than the much-needed attention, I needed encouragement to see beyond my condition. Marie was an amazing support. When I was instructed to follow certain procedures to see if I was ready to be discharged, Marie was proactive in helping me fulfill my duties. She constantly reminded me how I should focus on looking forward to accomplishing my daily routine, and that would speed my recovery. She helped me out of being stuck on just focusing on my situation and if I would ever be able to recover.

Marie is an RN that goes way beyond her duties as a nurse and cares for the whole person. It is the type of RN that makes Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus a hospital of choice. Marie worked together with Dr. K, my urologist, to ensure that my discharge would be in a timely and secure fashion. I left with confidence that I would be able to continue my life while my healing process took place.
