Marie Quinn Antolin, RN, 5T had a patient that was going to be transferred to Ronald Regan UCLA Medical center in Westwood. It was the end of her shift and the patient needed to get a CD to the hospital before 2pm the following day. The patient was very anxious and nervous not knowing if the CD would get there in time. Fed Ex was supposed to pick up the CD later that evening. Marie assured the patient that if something went wrong the next day was her day off and that she would personally take the CD to Westwood if they did not pick it up that night. She followed up the next day and found out that the CD was not picked up. So she hand delivered it personally to Westwood before 2pm to make sure it was there for the doctor to review.

She went above and beyond her job to make sure the patient’s needs were taken care of.
