I want to share my story about when I met Nurse Noura. I went to the OPD for a follow-up appointment and was very disappointed and frustrated with the care I received from the doctor I saw.
I went to the Head Nurse office and Nurse Noura was there working at her computer. When she saw me and how I looked, she just dropped what she is doing and asked me how she could help. She asked me to sit down, offered me water and I told her what happened. She apologized for the experience I had and told me that she would help. Noura asked me to stay in her office while she went to look into my issue.
After a few minutes, she came back and apologized. Noura spoke to the doctor and it turned out that I was referred to the wrong specialization and needed to see another doctor. She discussed everything with me patiently and answered all my questions. Noura arranged for me to see the appropriate doctor right away and took me through from the entire registration process, staying by my side until the doctor saw me.
Noura became my health advocate and support system, really caring for me since I was alone. When the doctor's visit concluded I felt better because I knew I received the best patient care available, thanks to Nurse Noura's resourcefulness, helpfulness, assertiveness, and compassion.
