Mariola remembers detailed information on patients that have been evaluated in triage and not admitted.
Mariola is compassionate and always willing to help in LD. Her disposition is phenomenal. Her knowledge base of OB and OB emergencies is an asset to the OB staff. Mariola remembers detailed information on patients that have been evaluated in triage and not admitted. An occurrence last week after the snow storm:
A patient came to LD complaining of itchy skin and had been seen in triage 1-2 weeks earlier. WHC was closed, and Mariola retrieved the patients Bile Acids and liver enzymes. Pertinent blood work was elevated and Mariola informed me and patient was admitted. The patient had a NSVD and a good outcome. This could have been a bad outcome as increased bile acids may induce labor at 36 weeks. Mariola is an unsung hero, always willing.
