I am a 71-year-old male who is going in for an inguinal hernia repair. This was a repeat surgery from one that I had previously seven years before. Mark Ilko was the nurse who did the prep work for me to go into surgery. He made me feel comfortable, was friendly and knowledgeable, and helped me feel better through the whole process. Cindy Demiter took care of me in recovery and gave me instructions for homegoing treatment and precautions. She was very kind, thorough, and patient. Just coming out of surgery, I wasn't completely awake, but she made me understand what I needed to know, and if things were not included in the printed instructions, she kindly wrote them down for me so I could understand and follow. Both of these nurses are highly professional and very good at their jobs. But I guess most of all, they have a very good attitude and realize the importance of the patient's dignity. My experience was a good one throughout. I felt comfortable and reassured, knowing that these two nurses were taking care of me.
