She explained in detail the medication and side effects, but most of all, she told me the truth about my addiction. So now I’m seeking help.
I was admitted to the 11th floor over a month ago. I had the liberty of meeting the extraordinary example of a Nurse Ms. Cousins. She was my nurse most of the time, and she took superb care of me. I am an addict, and I can admit that I take different types of drugs every 3-4 hours. I know I can be a nuisance. I will admit this any day. However, Ms. Cousins did her utmost best with my tolerance. I rang the bell all day and she came to my assistance. I have a stasis ulcer on my legs and nobody could get it to heal. For years, I have lived with them. She called a nurse who got the orders to help me and it went up from there on. My feet/leg are totally healed now. I was transferred to the 3rd floor, and they didn’t do the dressing well. I requested Ms. Cousins's assistance, and she came to support me. I have been admitted here a few times, but never have I been treated in such a way. I would describe it as impressive! She explained in detail the medication and side effects, but most of all, she told me the truth about my addiction. So now I’m seeking help. If I had a million dollars, I would give her–but I don’t. All I have is words of kindness. I am so happy my feet are healed again.
