Martha has had many roles within Cerner throughout the years. She's dedicated and firmly believes in Cerner's vision. She's previously was a solution designer, using her nursing experience to help with the development of I&O2G, and dynamic groups to make charting for nursing easier. She was a Solution Architect for Women's Health and then transitioned to the Configuration Center. Her current role has her reviewing and cleaning up the event set hierarchy in the model system which has to be a daunting task. She stepped forward to apply for this role since, again, she believes that this needs to be done to help clients documentation needs. Martha's clients love her! She's well respected by them as well as by her Cerner colleagues. She goes beyond and above frequently. She's a knowledge resource for many associates concerning documentation and especially the event set hierarchy.
Martha advocates for her clients to follow the model, utilize best practices and if she finds gaps, she looks for solutions and ways to mitigate so that her client needs are met. She is passionate about the quality of what is implemented at sites and frequently suggests changes to be implemented.
Recently, when I had eye surgery, Martha came and stayed with me post-op since my husband had to return to work. She came to make sure I didn't have any unwanted effects from the anesthesia as well as to administer medications since I was very drowsy. She worked on her laptop and held conference calls as needed while maintaining a close watchful eye on me. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
