Mary Ellen graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing Diploma program, Knoxville, TN in 1967. She began working in our Hospital's only ICU in 1971 and was the first and only Nurse to work in the Cath Lab when it opened in 1972. In the mid-'70s, she traveled with her husband to Chicago, Missouri, and New Orleans, working as ICU Nurse, Cath Lab and Mobile Cath Lab Nurse, and Dialysis Nurse. She returned to Chattanooga and began working again for us in our Cath Lab in 1999 - and you can find her today working long hours to take care of patients in the Cardiac Admin division.
