Mary Grace took care of my daughter who just had surgery. I can't begin to express how grateful we are that she was our nurse. My daughter was having the toughest day of her life and Mary Grace made it so much easier. There was not a problem we had that she did not fix and fix fast. From ice packs to calling the doctor for nausea meds to just smiling and telling my daughter that no matter what was going on, she was going to have a plan to fix it. She explained everything to my daughter in a way that made her comfortable. She took twice as long to push medicine that was painful for my daughter to take to make it easier for her. If we went through a stretch where we needed her every five minutes, she was here. If my daughter was comfortable, she would sneak in and out of here without waking her. She did all this with a smile on her face, concern in her heart and compassion that radiated from her.
My wife and I are forever grateful for the night Mary Grace was taking care of our daughter. She was in control at all times and made sure we felt that way as well, even if we were not. The last two days were the worst in my daughter's life, and not too high on the list for us as her parents. But from the moment Mary Grace walked into our room, our day was better. The whole staff here has been great, which is what makes our nurse special. In a room full of great people, Mary Grace stood out.
