Mary Kiensicki has served as a superb Nurse Navigator from the beginning of my cancer treatment process. In her role at the University Medical Center of Princeton Breast Health Center, she has answered a myriad of questions and also conveyed very crucial information that my doctors needed me to know. Her compassion and composure are remarkable.
I thought this might be the extent of my exposure to the excellent nursing services of Ms. Kiensicki, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. She also provided guidance and continuity at the hospital prior to the lymph node biopsy, and the double mastectomy that I underwent. Her sober comments and reassuring presence made a significant difference in my strength before surgery and recovery after surgery. She really went beyond all expectations, and her experience in patient management was obvious and valuable. I commend her and the hospital for recognizing the importance of the role of the Nurse Navigator in this often anxiety-filled journey.
I am grateful for the thoughtful and caring manner in which Ms. Kiensicki performs her job. Her contributions are a meaningful part of the successful treatment I received, and her presence is well appreciated.
