He was personable, professional, and compassionate while moving in stride with the doctor to quickly get my dad into surgery.
I had to take my dad into the emergency room because he was feeling chest pressure. Pretty immediately, the doctor on duty determined there was a blockage and that my dad needed to have an angioplasty procedure. The cardiology team, called in from their homes, showed up within what felt like two minutes. Matt came in and moved effortlessly into action with a great attitude. This was a scary situation for us, and he handled the room with a sensitive ease. He was personable, professional, and compassionate while moving in stride with the doctor to quickly get my dad into surgery. It was evident that he was paying attention to every detail while ensuring that my dad and I were okay. When my dad was in the procedure, I was waiting in the lobby for the doctor to check in. A few minutes before the doctor came out, Matt was exiting the hospital, presumably to go home. He saw me sitting in the lobby, and he came over to me to ask how I was doing and to check in. He told me that the procedure was done and that the doctor was getting ready to come out to see me. Matt didn't have to do that, but in that moment, it was exactly what I needed. Everyone at the hospital that night was excellent in the way they cared for my dad, but Matt went above and beyond in his bedside manner before the procedure and went out of his way after. I felt like he truly cared when there was no expectation that he would do so. Thank you to Matt for your dedication to your job, your attention to detail, and your customer service. It matters.
