Maurice Brule, RN of at Winchester Hospital’s ICU unit is the most recent recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses after a patient’s family nominated him for “his dedication” to his patients and their families.

In the nomination, the family described how Maurice was able to comfort their father during some difficult procedures. Maurice even stopped by on his day off to check in on the patient and the family to see how they were holding up. “Winchester Hospital, as well as the nursing community, is lucky to have a nurse like Maurice,” the family wrote. “Maurice definitely picked the correct profession. Winchester Hospital should be proud to have a nurse of his caliber on staff.”
