I just have Medicaid for insurance and am homeless staying at the Boulder Shelter with minimum resources. I am a bka L leg and am easily overlooked and swept under the rug when it comes to health care or any other social issues. But Ms. McKenna took it upon herself to make sure that my needs were met with extra care and compassion where otherwise I would have gone without. She helped me get my personal belongings from the shelter, she made a waterproof cover for my surgery so I could shower (4 days of no shower) and she made sure all my needs were met as if I had the best insurance in the world instead of the very bare minimum. I feel the special consideration that all patients hope to feel when they're sick or hurt that comes straight from the heart and is as genuine as God's love and is what everyone hopes for when you are truly hurting, especially someone like me who sometimes feel like we are forgotten. She is the real deal and she is a true asset to your organization and I feel that I will be ok after all. This lady deserves recognition and credit for being a fine caregiver and a wonderful person.
