I came to Hackensack Hospital through the ER with cellulitis on my right leg. There were so many challenges for me to deal with: the pain, immobility, medications, and the innumerable number of staff, but through it all, I found Ms. Meenakshi to be my guardian angel. She gave her full knowledge, skills, care, and understanding of all my various issues. She explained the medications and what foods would be counteractive, and she constantly helped me with the positioning of my legs to avoid extreme pain. She was not only professional but always had a warm smile to make the day lighter. She would make sure the staff followed up to ensure I received full care. I was extremely impressed by how she worked with a training student assigned to her. She explained everything and gave extra tips for them to use their critical thinking skills. I wanted to write this because not every hospital staff thinks of their patient first in such a holistic way. I am so grateful to Ms Meenakshi for making such a difficult time durable.
