In the 1st hour after I arrived, Megan listened to my concerns and acknowledged that she was very concerned as well.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Megan and an entire crew of angels. My father was admitted for a major UTI the day after being discharged from another facility. Yes, I wasn't going back there. He was admitted to 3E, and when I arrived, he was very lethargic and not very responsive to me.

The whole crew was in and out a lot. I made a comment to them that this was not like him at all and he was acting the same way he did before he went into respiratory failure 2 weeks earlier. In the 1st hour after I arrived, Megan listened to my concerns and acknowledged that she was very concerned as well. There was also a nurse trainee and her trainer, an ICU nurse, with him that day. A rapid consult was called by Megan and they were all very quick to action and somehow them all working together flipped a switch in him that brought him back alert and kept him out of ICU. Megan and the trainee watched him very closely the entire day and were right there to answer any questions I had and to reassure me that she wouldn't let anything happen on her watch.

The teamwork they showed, the response Megan had, and the care and compassion she showed were above and beyond any I have seen in a long time in a hospital setting. I believe God puts in our paths who we need when we need them, and I could not have asked for a better team to be there that day.
