I've been taking a lot of time on this because Meg truly is special to me and my family. Meg came into our lives fast. L had a horrible violent fit. He was attacking himself and us. His nurse didn't know what else we could do and we were at a loss. Next thing you know, this blonde haired lady comes in, scooped him up in his fleece blanket and starts walking the halls with him while we reassess ourselves. That's her, drenched in sweat, holding my now sleeping child for what felt like hours, pacing the halls for us.
Then it only gets better. Before Meg was ever put on our team, she would make herself available. Getting blankets, checking his machines, going for wagon walks, etc. Never batting an eye and always supporting our family. One day she even got me Starbucks because she knew I had a long night. Again, all before becoming our nurse. She celebrated right with us and she showed concern when we had to come back multiple times. Finally getting her on our team and having her as L's Nurse, all I can say is wow!
"Wow Cotter" is a phenomenal woman, a passionate woman, and someone who doesn't give up. She pushed for L to get the best care and make the right moves and we got it done. Meghan Cotter is the kind of person who was meant to work with children and work here.
She's the blessing my family needed. She's the shoulder to lean on that I needed. I'm so lucky to say she's on my team and she's our "Soccer Rocker".
