I had a patient who made a turn for the worse and needed to be upgraded to ICU. Melissa was quick with response time and very efficient with the rapid response documentation. After the patient was upgraded, she didn't even hesitate to help a fellow colleague finish out what ended up being a very challenging shift. That to me shows she is a great team player and I really appreciated her that shift! I knew since I started working as a nurse on this unit that she would be a person I can look up to and go to if I ever needed anything. There is no doubt that Melissa is very compassionate when it comes to caring for her patients and being a team player on 3 South PCU. Melissa always takes the time no matter what kind of night she is having to make sure her colleagues are okay. What really gets me is that I never met another co-worker in my entire work life that has the positivity like she does every shift and brings her all when she is working. Melissa is a positive, compassionate, dedicated and hardworking nurse.
