Mel was exceptional! She was the kindest nurse we have ever met. Mel took the time to explain my husband's medical condition to him in a way we could understand. She also took the time to pray with him, which we loved.Mel also talked with us and helped ease any anxiety we had about the hospital stay, medical condition, and just life in general. Mel is a great asset to your staff and to those of us she has touched. Thank you, Mel!

Mel was the charge nurse while I was in PCU. After receiving devastating news about my diagnosis, Mel hugged me, prayed with me, and cared for me. You don't find that often in any person.

To say that Mel goes above and beyond is a huge understatement. Her leadership is a priceless asset to our unit. While on duty, I was caring for a patient that received some very sad news. I asked Mel to please come say a prayer with my sweet patient and without hesitation she followed me down the hall. Her words of encouragement were heartfelt, comforting, and endearing to my patient, her daughter and myself. She is an amazing nurse, educator, friend to all and a priceless fearless leader.
