I’m 34 years old and a mother of 3. I was in the hospital giving birth to baby girl #3 and spent 5 days recovering and went through 3 different major surgeries. The bright light at the end of the dark tunnel of pain was my RN, Melissa. Each and every day, she went way beyond every aspect of caring for me, and in the end, we built a super close family-like bond. I could not have done it without her.

Melissa also provided me with emotional support throughout the whole process. As I stated, even though she worked seven tireless days in a row, she continued to work in such a bright and positive way to not only make sure I was well taken care of, but a whole unit of other patients. My stay had been “rough” to say the least, but she shared similar experiences she had gone through and explained everything, every step of the way. I couldn’t have done it without her. There were a couple of incidents that caused physical and emotional pain, and she acted as my “mama bear” and brought it to the attention of her supervisor to ensure my highest level of safety for me and my baby. She is the most incredible RN I could have asked for. We love you; you are the best!
