I can not say enough positive things about Melodye! She was my son's nurse while he was in the NICU. She saw him (&us) through some very difficult and painful days. She always handled herself with a wonderful balance of professionalism and compassion. We always knew Melodye was working very hard to protect our baby's best interest. She used her keen assessment to come up with ways to help him be more comfortable including collaborating with the medical staff to adjust his feeding tube.

We suspected he was having painful reflux from his NG tube. Melodye brought it to our doctor's attention & suggested an alternative solution that was very successful(making the NG NJ) Our son was spared a great deal of discomfort through her critical thinking skills. She also picked up on early subtle indications that he wasn't feeling well. Turns out he had pneumonia and she caught it before it got very severe.

Melodye was also very proactive in making sure my husband and I received the education we needed to take care of our son once he was discharged. Melodye is a phenomenal nurse and I hope she receives the recognition she deserves. Thank you Melodye!
