From the very beginning, it was evident that Merrit was a gifted nurse. She immediately facilitated a poor staffing experience by removing a nurse and stepping in. She exemplified the ability to execute her job excellently while helping me through my stay and making me feel human. Everyone goes to school, but Merrit has honed a skill for caring for patients, as I personally experienced. Her compassion, communication, and care exceeded all other care I had in my 13-day stay.

Merrit exudes everything that a nurse stands for. She always puts patients first and always listens to her patients. She demonstrates compassion, understanding, and absolute care and love in everything she does in nursing. She is so bright and positive. She keeps morales high with her positivity and smile. I have never met a nurse that cares and advocates for her patients like Merrit does. I truly hope to be half the nurse she is some day.
