Mey was a great nurse to my husband. He was admitted after a car accident with a broken femur and a splint on his left arm. He was placed on the 5th floor but was in need of a trapeze bar to help him move better by himself. It was my understanding that the ortho floors were the only ones that had these. Mey decided to get all of the parts and instructions and put the trapeze bar together with the help of two aides. This was on Christmas Eve so it was like watching parents putting together Christmas gifts for the next morning.
Mey showed such compassion the nights we got to spend with her. She is great at her job and should be recognized with the highest honor. We had several great nurses on the 5th floor, but that night Mey stood out.
