Michael was nominated by a co-worker who had the following to say:

...I have yet to see a nurse extend themselves to fellow staff, family, and patients more than Michael. He often offers support to everyone he works with, even if they are on the opposite side of the unit. If he is walking by, he will always inquire if help is needed. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and has true compassion for his patients. I would consider myself blessed if he were to care for me or a loved one. He is truly deserving of this award."
