My mother was life-flighted from another hospital to UPMC Mercy following a brain bleed. During this incredibly challenging time, Mike's exceptional care and dedication made a profound difference.

From the moment he was assigned to my mom, Mike's calm and kind demeanor provided much-needed reassurance. He is understated and humble, yet it is clear that he possesses an extraordinary level of intelligence and medical knowledge. Mike's ability to think on his feet and address any problem that arose, including my mother's hallucinations resulting from the stroke, in a manner that made her feel heard and supported was truly remarkable.

Mike's investment in my mother's care was evident in every interaction. He always listened and took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, demonstrating his extensive medical expertise. His quality skills and attention to detail ensured that my mother received the best possible care.

What stood out the most was Mike's perfect balance of seriousness and humor. He treated my mother with mutual respect, creating a comforting and trusting environment. His ability to blend professionalism with a touch of lightheartedness made a difficult situation more bearable for our family.  He, as well as the other caregivers, also provided a welcoming environment for me as I stayed with her. 

Mike's dedication and compassion went above and beyond our expectations. He is a true asset to UPMC Mercy, and we are forever grateful for the exceptional care he provided to my mother.
