Michele Bradshaw exemplifies the role of a true Nurse Leader. She embodies the qualities that you would want to see in your team: compassion, professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. Michele leads with integrity, demonstrating strong communication skills and fostering a positive work environment. When her caregivers see Michele practicing what she preaches, it inspires trust and encourages them to strive for the same level of excellence.
Michele not only goes above and beyond for her team but for Integris Edmond as well. She is always seeking out opportunities to enhance the nursing practice, build our community's trust, and ensure that we provide the utmost safe and quality care to our patients. She is very active in the community as a Nursing Professor, in our State as a board member of the ONA, as well as many other activities that serve to ensure that the Nursing profession is at the forefront of our local, state, and national platforms. Michele spearheaded one of the most difficult challenges in nursing by pulling together the nurses at IHE to assist in the redesignation for Pathway to Excellence. Without her, I almost think it might not have been a successful journey. She truly went above and beyond by spending countless hours writing, reviewing and hearding her peers to complete their assigned tasks. If someone fell short, she was quick to pick up the slack. There were no complaints about it, she was thoughtful, understanding and at the end of the day did whatever it took to ensure that IHE was awarded the Pathway to Excellence because she knew and truly believed all of the hard work that was being done by nursing.
Michele is well respected by her team as well as her peers. She is held in high regard, and her opinions, expertise, and contributions are valued. She is quick to identify issues of opportunities of self-reflection and growth. Michele uses her problem-solving skills and critical thinking in all that she does as she always analyzes situations and processes as the current as well as the potential impacts. Michele is very deserving of the DAISY Nurse Leader award due to her countless contributions to our profession and our Hospital.
