I am a first-time Mom, and Michele made me feel so much more prepared for breastfeeding. The nurse had my baby out of the room when Michele came in, but she came back before I was discharged to make sure I was doing okay and showed me different tricks for breastfeeding. I was discharged later the same day. My baby needed labs drawn so we returned to the post-partum floor after I was discharged and I was sitting in the waiting room extremely uncomfortable, and I saw Michele walking. She immediately came over to me and knew who I was, and I started crying because I felt so much relief seeing her face. She took me to the NICU to pump because my right breast was so engorged, and she talked me through all of my big emotions and how I was feeling. She made sure I had all the tools and supplies I needed to make sure I was successful with breastfeeding. She was an angel on earth, and we need more nurses like her. I will never ever forget her, and I am confident she is the only reason I am doing so well on my breastfeeding journey. My baby and I are forever grateful for her. She made such an impact. Not to mention, she then called me at home later to make sure I was doing okay. She truly went above and beyond, and you can tell she loves what she does.
