She bonded with myself and my wife, plus the family. She did not cease to amaze with the love of her patient.
Firstly, I would like to thank all the staff on D5 for their excellent work ethic. All of the nurses who tended to my wife went about and beyond; most of all, the one we chose to nominate became a big part of my newfound little family. My story begins like many others, just waking up to a normal day. When I received a phone call my wife was to be hospitalized for high blood pressure. As a dad to be this was worrisome. Upon coming to the hospital (Lowell General), I received word that my wife's kidneys were possibly failing from here on out. The nurses proceeded to do what they did and demonstrated the utmost importance of my wife's health and comfort. Day by day, night by night, the nurses came in and cared for her and ensured she would be cared for to the utmost of their ability. My wife's health did, in fact, improve, and she was nearly ready to give birth. The nurse worth writing about began to tend to her (My Wife). This being my wife's first pregnancy, she was a bit needy, but the super nurse did what she does. The super nurse added a shift to her schedule and went above your average. She bonded with myself and my wife, plus the family. She did not cease to amaze with the love of her patient. She did not cease to amaze with the effort of understanding and support. She grew an "Abuela" and learned a little of our language (Spanish). She understood my wife on an emotional level, which made the experience one in a mill! (Next to having my baby.) So for all you have done, I would like to say thank you and welcome to the family.
