We had our baby at the birth care center and Michelle was our nurse. Being a fellow nurse and working in the same place, it felt so awesome to see how much care she put into taking care of my wife. We are in a same sex marriage, my wife was the one that was in labor and Michelle made sure that she included me in everything, kept me informed, asked me about decisions that needed to be made, and even had me do skin to skin with the baby. She explained everything that she was doing or that was about to be done.
Any of our family that came in and met her complimented on what a wonderful nurse and how caring she is. They would tell me to make sure that I passed along how much they enjoyed her. She was very patient and accommodating to our other children and family. She is an example of a nurse who truly cares about what she is doing. I was proud to know that I as sharing an important part of my life with a fellow employee that took so much pride in her job. Words could never thank her enough for how she made us and our family feel. She truly is an amazing nurse that shows caring, and compassion in every patient that she takes care of.
