Michelle sat with him one night so he didn't feel so alone and took the time to talk to him and help make him feel that little bit better.
Michelle has to be the best, most caring, compassionate, 'nothing’s too much trouble' nurse! If you are lucky enough to receive Michelle's care whilst you are on Ward 32, then you will receive second-to-none care. Michelle has cared for me many times because unfortunately, I am admitted to Gastro frequently and it is difficult for me to put into words just how amazing Michelle is. She has helped me when I have been upset, she has consoled me, and she has been there when I was extremely poorly, she reassured me and helped me as I could not get out of bed. If there is something that I don't understand, she takes the time to explain it to you. No matter what you need she will always do her best to help you.
She even cared for my father-in-law when he was a patient on the ward, and I remember him telling me just how good she was. He was alone and scared, and Michelle sat with him one night so he didn't feel so alone and took the time to talk to him and help make him feel that little bit better. Michelle is always at work early and always one of the last to leave of an evening; she will not leave until she has done everything she has set out to do and will not leave it to the night staff. I have also spoken with other patients, and they are all of the same opinion too. Her knowledge and care stand miles apart from the others. I don't think there are enough awards in the country to give to Michelle.
