We were thrown into a whirlwind one Saturday night when our son's mental state became altered and in a matter of minutes we went from normal to watching him intubated, in a coma. This was by far the scariest time in our lives! It was not until the next day that we met Mickey. She came in and was in charge! She had a peaceful yet confident spirit about her. She reassured us when we had question. She made such an impact on our other children that came to visit that when they would leave and call back to check in they would ask if Mrs. Mickey was still there because it gave them peace that their brother was being taken care of! Everyone at this hospital has wings and halos in our eyes but Mickey's were extra big to us! We feel beyond blessed to have met such an amazing woman who puts so much of herself into other people's children every single day! Thank you Mickey and the entire Children's staff from the bottom of our hearts.
