My 86-year-old mother has been a patient of Dr. A’s for years. Recently my mom has been very tired and forgetful, so the doctor took blood and it showed she was anemic. Dr. A prescribed IV iron for 2 weeks. My mother was uncomfortable, scared, and unsure about the procedure but when the nurse came to take my mother back, she explained everything to us very patiently what was going to happen. Haley was so helpful and even helped my mother to the restroom before taking mom for her procedure. Mom is forgetful and sometimes asks several times what is happening. Haley was so patient explaining numerous times the procedure and was not irritated or impatient in answering her questions. She also explained about the port mom had and how she was going to try to flush it to use it since it hadn’t been used in a couple of years. I also had questions, so she sent Mikel out to talk to me. Mikel was extremely caring and helpful in answering all my concerns. Everyone is always so helpful, devoted, and caring. Mikel and Haley stand out by going above and beyond what most nurses do. Haley kept mom calm and was so reassuring answering politely all of mother’s questions. Everyone is always very attentive, and I respect the care and devotion these nurses give day after day.
