Miriam puts all of her patients first, always willing to lend a hand, never complains about helping and always has a positive attitude. Miriam helps all the units with wound care and teaching. I love her willingness to educate other nurses to better their practice. Her heart for her patients and excellent care for them can be seen in her interactions with them. Miriam is very approachable and knowledgeable. Patients are so at ease when Miriam takes care of them. She meets them where they are emotionally/physically.
Miriam has helped with one patient in particular who has been here for several months and needed a wound vac. She would help the primary RN do the 90-minute dressing change 3x/week and help translate. She still checks in periodically on his skin to ensure no new skin issues have started.
