The amazing care and compassion that I witnessed during what ended up being her last days was quite extraordinary
My wife was admitted at the end of May or early June. She had been in poor health for quite a few years and was on Hospice for the last year and a half. She endured a lot of suffering in her last 15-plus years. The amazing care and compassion that I witnessed during what ended up being her last days was quite extraordinary, but the nurse who stood out the most to me was Dupe. She always made a point of wiping my wife's face and moistening her mouth even though she was unconscious most of the time she was there. Dupe would even come into our room when my wife wasn't one of her patients to be sure to do things to make sure my wife was as comfortable as she could make her. As great as everyone was on that floor, Dupe stood out among them. Words cannot even begin to describe how amazingly compassionate she was. Thank you, Dupe!
