My husband passed away in September on the 7th floor and I would just like to let you know how well he was treated.
My husband worked as a Pharmacist for Mayo in La Crosse for 37 years, so he knew many of the nurses on the 7th floor who were caring for him. During his last two days on earth, he was blessed to have Molly Baker as his nurse. She was so patient and kind to not only him, but our whole family. Molly gave him the respect of someone who had worked at Mayo for many years. She always spoke softly and directly to him, getting close to his face and always with a soft, caring touch to his shoulder.
Molly also told us on Friday morning that she had visited the Perpetual Adoration chapel and said a special prayer for my husband. She followed up, after his passing that night, with a card to me in which she had written a very special note inside.
Molly is an angel on the 7th floor and you are very lucky to have her working at Mayo.
