My wife and I are from Rochester, NY, and we were referred to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia for our twins' TS. After our consultation, my wife suffered a miscarriage while we were in our hotel room that evening, and I immediately called 911. 

Due to the location of our hotel, the EMS team brought us to Harlem Hospital, which was the closest facility to our hotel. There, we met Nurse NA, who was assigned to our care. From the minute we were introduced to each other, she made us feel as comfortable as possible in such a heartbreaking situation. 

She was sympathetic, empathetic, communicated effectively, and instantly established trust with my wife and I. I may not be the most religious person, but do consider myself a man of faith, and 100% believe she is an angel that was sent to care for us that evening. 

I insisted to the staff that we be transferred to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia, as this is where we were originally referred. Nurse Naava helped facilitate this transfer in a quick and efficient manner. She comforted my wife and me answered all of our questions, provided unmatched care, and developed a genuine relationship with us. 

Although we lost both of our children that night/early morning, my wife and I gained a new guardian angel in Nurse Naava and will be forever grateful for her care, professionalism, and dedication to her craft. She is an incredible person and ultimate professional who deserves all the recognition in the world.
