Nancy is an amazing nurse. She is the most compassionate example of what a nurse represents. She took care of a patient whose husband grew to trust and respect Nancy as his wife's RN. He ended up requesting her support on the day that they extubated his wife as he was anxious about what would happen. The day came where it was time to extubate and Nancy was made aware of this happening. She took time out of her busy life, including being a mom, going to school and working, to come in and support this gentleman. She kindly sat beside him and helped them navigate the process. This brings a tear to my eyes as it represents her selfless love for her patients. This is just one story of many that exemplify Nancy's character. It is an honor to work with her and she inspires me regularly! She always goes above and beyond.
