I delivered my third child via C-section and started feeling dizzy and nauseous during one of my walks in the hall. Nancy was my nurse at the time and as I passed her in the hall she asked if I was ok, I told her how I was feeling and she took immediate action and helped me back to my room to assess me. As I started to explain my previous history of fevers that spiked to 103.5F and lasted for 11 days after my other two children were born via C-section, Nancy took my concerns and situation seriously.
Nancy never treated me as if I was over reacting and continually stayed on top of monitoring and caring for me. She truly went above and beyond to help me, the other nurses and doctors throughout my stay and care. She was always on top of communicating with me and the staff members and she made sure to be a part of all conversations regarding my care.
I am so grateful for Nancy and what a caring, attentive and knowledgeable nurse she is. I feel blessed to have had her as my nurse and she truly deserves this DAISY Award.
